Excellent place over looking the sea, stopped to grab some grub, which was delicious, I really liked the chips, so well done. They had offers and it’s gives one great value for money. The reason I have given it 4 stars is because I had to order from the app, and missed out order the pudding for my daughter which was part of the offer. And there was no way I could get it. I understand technologically advancement but when you go to place to eat food and service is combined offering, having someone to talk to and understand the best way to elevate my experience makes a big difference. That’s said I would definitely recommend the place.
Food was great, we got the tapas type small plates......7 of them to share. All were delicious. They had friendly staff and were one of the very few places in the area to allow dogs.
The Dutton Arms lies on the South Shore in close proximity to the south pier. It is on the main road and features a front beer garden consisting of picnic style tables, sited on artificial grass, shielded from the pavement with clear glass partitions. This area could be made a lot more attractive as it lets the first impression of the pub down from street view. A shame due to inside being good. The bar and eating areas are very spacious. Split into semi-open areas, with TV's showing sport. Food is available and offers on certain meals make this an attractive alternative to others in the near vicinity. Menus are simple and easy to understand, staff did know what was available and did give you the best options. Saying this, during busier times, it was a chore to get served. The bar and eating areas (no eating outside due to sea gulls) are clean and tidy. The toilets are either downstairs for ladies or upstairs for gents (over a dozen stairs). These are clean, well maintained, modern and to a good standard. Bar prices are what you'd expect for a bar on a seafront. On the whole, a great alternative to other run down pubs or 'chain' bars and worth a visit for a family meal.
What a pub, Dog friendly, staff friendly. The atmosphere in there is great like a proper traditional pub. Breakfast there is brilliant, and evening meals as well. Just a brilliant British Pub so please consider going there. There are no words to say expect excellent all round
I've been to the dutton alot since moving to Blackpool 2 years ago, even recommended to people, however today I was met with hostility from the red haired member of staff who repeatedly gave me dirty looks and walked away every time I tried to order a drink or food. Speaking of food what I ordered to what I got were two different things, for example when ordering spicy beef nachos I was given the classic version without beef I was told it was because I ordered a small portion ( that's not what the menu says). When staff realised I had been in before they then began their excuses that it was a new menu so wasn't used to it. Not once did they attempt to correct anything. Most definitely will not recommend after today.
