We went in for my dads 84th birthday, he chose but have to say what a lovely warm pub, beautiful log fire, pleasant staff... including the hard working landlady who really deserves to do well! I'll be honest and say was a little disappointed we could not have a running tab but on thinking over things, so many businesses have been ripped off. Ok so dads fish... a bloody whale, with fabulous chips and sides, my sisters snd partners meal, mixed grill and massive burger great too... the sausage and mash had the right amount of gravy! I had the all day breakfast but a couple of items werent too warm... I know keeping breakfasts warm without overcooking can be a nightmare so probably a poor choice on my part. All in all, my dad had a lovely birthday so thank you to the pub. Allowing all the doggies in there is also a lovely bonus!

Just called in as it was the closest pud to the Model Village that had a decent rating and we're so glad we did. As soon as we walking in we were greated by the staff, making a fuss of our 2 miniature Dachshund's. Ordered some drinks then looked through the menu which has plenty of choice. I ordered the Boar XL burger and plumped for an extra 6oz beef patty, my wife ordered the peppered beef baguette. Wait time was as you would expect for fleshly cooked food. Food was fantastic, one of the best burgers I've had in a while and the chunky chis were very nice too, beef baguette was tender and full of flavour! Atmosphere in the seating area was very comfortable and cozy.

Been to the Boars Head several times our go to place on a Sunday! Always fresh food and you can see the busy team always flying in and out with fresh food and replenishing. Carvery is two courses, you can have a dessert if you choose too. Soup is changeable but always nice to have a different one and the croutons are AMAZING!! The team here are very friendly nothing a trouble and despite how busy they are they pull together well and always smiling. Any issues just give them a call Carvery is far far better than chain ones, loads of choices and large portions of meat. It’s like going around your mums for lunch (except with out doing the dishes!) It’s a busy popular bar but always manage to get a seat when I walk in (usually three of us) however if you have a larger party can always give them a call and reserve if required. It is a traditional pub and unspoiled by time, a good pint and options of hot and cold drinks for the drivers too. Everything behind the bar you would expect, one of input party is a wine drinker and always has a good glass. Keep up the great work guys and we wil see you next Sunday :-)

We are holidaying in Blackpool and needed a nice dog friendly pub to have our Sunday Carvery at. Called up to make sure 'dog friendly' meant they were allowed inside as may places don't, they certainly did not disappoint and made us feel extremely welcome! We were pleasantly surprised with free soup before the carvery, and under 8's being able to eat for free with an adult carvery. Staff were lovely
