Why is Ye Olde Swan good for fans?
For matchdays in Milton Keynes, Ye Olde Swan works as a pre- or post-game spot because it opens early at weekends (9:00 on Saturdays, 10:00 on Sundays) and serves brunch, so you can eat before a lunchtime kick-off. CAMRA also notes four handpumps with a Greene King range (including Abbot, IPA and Old Speckled Hen), giving cask-ale options for a pint around the game, and it lists on-site parking which can help with matchday logistics. The pub’s own pages provide the current food menus for sit-down meals (including roasts), useful if you’re planning around kick-off times.

We booked dinner for three as we couldn’t get into the restaurant next to our hotel. Drinks and mains only, two steaks, both medium/rare and a steak & pie.
I forgot to take pics before we had started eating 🙄
Food was lovely, staff friendly and hard working. I asked for extra gravy with my pie which was no problem at all.
Would definitely recommend and return.

Valentine's lunch with my fiancé. Quaint little gem in the middle of MK. Food and service was amazing. It was a very busy Friday lunch but we didn't have to wait for long. There was a lovely old fire place in the middle of the room. There are 4 different dining areas, on different levels, so some areas may be a bit difficult for wheel chair access. The bee garden looks inviting, can't wait to visit it when the weather is nice and warm. Definitely will go back for another visit with our friends and family.

Went for a meal here with my partner as we're fairly local and thought it would be nice to try. Very cute and quirky, low ceilings in places but adds to the feel of the pub.
Food was amazing, staff were friendly and helpful and we had a great time. Definitely be back again soon as this isn't a place you can just visit once and not come back to, especially after the great evening we had.
Food we had, that I'd definitely recommend:
Chef's board to start
Rum Pork Belly (specials menu so may not be available but try it if you can!)
Crispy Chicken Burger
Triple Chocolate brownie
Sticky Toffee pudding (which was bigger than we imagined but absolutely no complaints!)
Thank you to the staff and compliments to the chef - beautiful food! X
Added pics of our mains and desserts - apologies not the best photos as they were just a quick pic

Very old pub in a quiet part in a village in Milton Keynes. The food is excellent. I had pork belly. The service is excellent and very busy, most probably need to book in advance. Excellent viewing from the pub garden 👌

Second time here and it's Easter Sunday. Not to busy found a seat easy. So fish and chips really awful ,fish was obviously frozen it was cooked but watery and no taste at all . The chips or the very few I had on my plate were very dry .the waitress did ask if all was ok and I told her, she said I will bring a few more chips but never did. So £22.50 ish worse off pint and dinner. Feel a bit ripped off . Posh looking place and the food is not up to par. Just.go for a drink and ignore the food.

I’m writing a little belated review after visiting here about 5-6 times over the past couple of years.
Ye Olde Swan is a local favourite of mine for my parents, who live close to the village. We’ve been here throughout the seasons and usually come to eat.
The menu hasn’t changed much in that time; it’s consistent and excellent. Being creatures of habit, we usually go for the same dishes: vegan burgers, fish n’ chips and salmon. It’s always up to the same excellent standard, and a happy, smiling waitress always takes our order.
We usually sat near the fireplace with the mystery door leading to an underground (not so secret) tunnel to the church across the road. It’s always a topic of interest, but from research, we believe the tunnel was long-filled due to health and safety issues with the road across from the pub.
Local knowledge aside, it’s a great pub with a vast drinks range and a fab food menu, and we always have a great time. The food is always reasonably priced.
Thanks, we’ll be back very soon.

Edit: dined here again and strangely was on the table we have been in the last 4 visits. We also had the same server, Cheryl. As always, great service and great food. Now full to the brim and had a lot of caffeine. 2 double espressos.
We love to dine out as a family. It has been a long time since we have actually dined in a restaurant that ticked every single box. This had a local pub feel, and the pub/restaurant was very busy. However, it wasn't your rowdy noisy feel but that of a family atmosphere with a cosy feel to it. We were seated at our table and felt relaxed. Our waitress was friendly, full of good banter, and knew her drinks and food. Our food arrived and the timings were perfect. The quality of food was unbelievable. Flavours exploded and tantalised the taste buds. If I had to fault them, the only thing I thought should be changed is to bring kids meal out first. Apart from that, absolutely amazing. Everything was excellent. We had an amazing evening and will definitely be back.
Update.... we have been back numerous times since this initial visit, and we really can't fault the place. Professional friendly service like the good old days. Food is second to none. Since this post, we have always had little ones food brought out first.
