Why is Ye Olde Crown good for fans?
Ye Olde Crown is a well-known Port Vale supporters' pub, especially lively on matchdays when it becomes a focal point for home fans. The pub features Port Vale memorabilia, a spacious beer patio, and a pool table. It also offers live music, including Northern Soul and Motown nights on weekends, which adds to its vibrant matchday atmosphere. The pub's varied cask ale selection has earned it a place in the Good Beer Guide, and it has been recognized as Pub of the Month by the Potteries Branch of CAMRA in October 2024.

Top pub (even with all the Vale gear 😉). Finally entered the Good Pub Guide & deservedly so, been consistently good for a good while now. Best pub in Boslem!

It's a Port Vale pub, being a Stoke fan it was difficult going in but it's decent and it will be a good atmosphere on match day

If you like real ale at a good price then it's a must to pop in here. Lovely friendly staff serving a great pint. All for as I say a really good price. Ps a really good selection of largers as well.

This is a pub noted locally as a popular watering hole with Port Vale football supporters, not being a sporting type. I can not comment on the atmosphere on a match day, but I hear it's excellent if busy. On non match days, I have found it to have a friendly bunch of regulars. The decor is basic but very clean and, if not cosy, certainly pleasant. The locals and staff will happily socilise with a stranger so that within a short time, you feel at home. Finally, do try the 'Bear Island' beer. In summary, a local pub that welcomes all just don't mention the football team from nearby Stoke.

Bad snowy weather at the end of the night.
But the bar staff looked after us with plastic bin bags to cover us from the snow.
Polite and professional staff
