Everything was lovely here except 1 aspect. Ordering food from the "Italian inspired" section, I was disappointed the greenery on the plate was just bare rocket. The chips were good, but too few. The same with dessert; lovely but a touch small with too little ice cream. I felt this also then came with an upper end price.

Popped in on a Sunday afternoon for the carvery, was surprised to see how quiet it was. Soon found out why, the food was mediocre at best despite charging a premium price. Service was next to nonexistent, no one came to check if our food was OK and offer extra drinks. Was also charged £15 for a medium glass of wine.

It's a great village pub..... busy on a Friday night..... typical pub grub - nothing exciting..... great selection of beers and a good pub garden..... perfect for an after work beer....

I'm a bit of a loner and struggle with social side of things. People here make you feel welcome, locals are nice and the staff are faultless. Recommend this for a drink or two for sure. Not tried food so can't comment.

We had a very disappointing experience for fathers day lunch. We booked for 12pm and arrived a few minutes late. They sat us down quickly, but then it took for us to ask for our drinks order to be taken, some 25 minutes later. We did have a 2 year old who was getting extremely impatient, and the lady was very apologetic, and did gave us a bowl of veg and a Yorkshire pudding to help us out. There was a table next to us who had not received their starter after waiting 45 minutes, and ours had not arrived after 25 minutes, so we called it quits and left. We were charged for our drinks which I was surprised about seeing as our day had now been ruined. But at least we're not £100+ down as well. This isn't the first time this place has disappointed, but it will be the last time we ever come here. Such a shame as it used to be brilliant.

Excellent service for six of us at lunch at a great venue, somewhere you're not squeezed in either nor subject to music or screens. Wide choice from both the main and lunch menus too, quality food at not unreasonable prices. Plenty of free parking, outside space for the better weather, and outdoor play facilities for youngsters.

Good real ale choice very well kept and served. Had a few nibbles including the pork belly which was excellent, better than the Thai restaurant up town. Lovely beer garden too. Dog friendly.

I had my parents memorial lunch for friends and neighbours at the Windmill as they lived in the village . Planning the event was straightforward, staff responsive to my emails and requests. We hired the function room, had an excellent and plentiful silver selection buffet lunch & used the TV for showing images. Staff efficient and attentive . Would recommend the venue for such an event.
