Lovely pub with lots of seating areas including cozy nooks and bright tables by the windows. Lots of beer options on tap, it was hard to choose! The bitter and stout were delicious. During the weekend there were parking spots outside the pub on the street.

The Victorian Craft Beer Cafe is a great location for craft beers and ales. It has been extended from the fairly small place it initially was years ago and this gives the place a kind of rabbit warren feel with annexes branching off as you walk along. The whole place is decorated very well and it feels like a cross between a library and a set of Victorian sitting rooms - all in all it's a great place and one not to be missed if you're in Halifax centre.

The cosiest pub ever! We came for the first time on mad Friday with the intention of having one and moving on and stayed all night. It has the loveliest atmosphere, the drinks selection is great and the staff were all super friendly! One of my new favourite places to visit for drinks.

Can't rate the food as they only do pork pies, no use to a vegetearian! Other than that I can't rate this place highly enough, the staff are always knowledgeable and helpful and there's always a great range of beers. Especially good for me when the Back in Black dark beer festival arrives in December.

We called into Halifax on our way home from a coach trip to Scarborough. Only had an hour and a half and didn't want to look round so decided to go for a drink. Fortunately we found a superb pub with an excellent range of cask and keg beers. The guys behind the bar were really friendly and the beers we chose were excellent. Before we left we had a look round and were amazed by the wonderful charm of the decor and labyrinth of small rooms in extensions on different floors, I've never seen anything like it before. We are already planning on another trip to Halifax and when we are ready for refreshments this is the place we will be heading for. An absolute must place to visit in Halifax.

Fabulous beer and great atmosphere. Really good selection too. Food is bar snacks but really good pork pies.

Craft beer bar with lots of cosy little nooks & crannies. Plenty of choice of beer , good music & pork pies . Nice place to spend an hour on a wet Saturday afternoon.

This for me is one of, if not the best pub I've ever been in, this place had it all. The cask beer was simply sublime and the glass when finished was etched with beautiful lacing. The beer choice of cask and keg was very large, something for everyone and the building itself was amazing. 🥇Gold medal winner.
