Popped in for a pint after a show at the Swan Theatre last week. A smashing little pub, very friendly and a nice few real ales to chose from, all brilliantly kept. Excellent pub! Chatted with the landlady (who is lovely!) and that was Squires Holt you were remembering by the way, an old restaurant on the Hogs Back back in the day! Small world!

The Rose & Crown - Good old British summer time – you couldn’t make it up. Imagine it’s the first weekend in August, the crowning day of the new football season. Surely, we will be blessed with some good weather, right? NAH - The rain was absolutely slamming it down.
With that barmy weather, we had to hot-step it to the pub, and the pub in question was the Rose and Crown. Thankfully, it was a cracking pub that is serious about cask ale, as evident by all the pump clips of previous beers that have been flowing through their pipes.
After two delicious pints, we had to make tracks for Adams Park to make kick-off, but trust me, next time I’m in Wycombe, I will be heading back to the Rose and Crown.
P.S Exeter won 3-0

The entry into the Good Beer Guide is richly deserved with the ales on offer in excellent condition. Friendly locals, whereby one insisted on buying me a pint for an out of towner and then asking for my number to show me around? Draw your own conclusions to that! Some of the locals smelt a bit stale.
