Really lovely pub. 4 cask ales available - had 2 from Full Mash which were both decent. Food is home cooked, fresh and lovely. We both had the steak and stilton pie and couldn't resist the additional giant Yorkshire for £1.50. Did have big plans for a pudding but was so full from the mains we couldn't face it. Prices really good value. A really refreshing change from overpriced gastro pub type food. Genuinely cannot recommend enough.

The home cooked food here is so fresh and tasty! Had the braising steak, chips, veg and big Yorkshire pudding and it was huge, great value for money! Not been disappointed yet!

Excellent food. This pub needs to sell itself online more because it could be missed and it's a gem. The lunch menu is excellent value for money. Food is hearty and served by friendly staff.

Hidden gem in our town.. never been before till today (no idea why) but will be a regular now.. and the food 10/10 ..spread the word xx

Went today, in a party of 12. Staff were lovely, very helpful. The food was absolutely lovely. Good home cooked meals. Not your usual microwaved dinners. We mostly had something different and everyone commented on how good their food was. Piping hot, a great selection of potatoes & vegetables. Thank you so much, have booked to come again next month.
