Super comfy room, had corner room with 2 windows so was well aired. Very comfy bed. Had use of the kitchen so able to use the fridge. Nice roof top garden. Spent the evening in the pub, lovely friendly locals. Would highly recommend and would stop again.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the host went above and beyond to ensure top notch hospitality. The service was flawless. Cannot recommend enough and I can’t wait to return.

We wanted a lunch break during a car journey to north Herts. A large hotel nearby was a let-down in terms of both disabled facilities and poor restaurant quality. So we dined here. ||Quite a nice, well-run pub with adequate meal choice. Friendly staff and clientele. Outdoor dining if desired. Disabled-friendly, with a proper disabled toilet. ||This was a lunch time visit, and I cannot vouch for the evening atmosphere. It does not have the "big hotel" atmosphere. However if we should be in this area again, we'll certainly bear this place in mind.

Nice spacious room, very friendly host.
A bit of a distance from the town centre but nothing a brisk walk wouldn't sort out. Nice to have a drink before bed time too!

Location perfect |Great for popping in to town and avoiding paying over the top main stream prices for hotel rooms in town when it’s only a nice 5 min walk through a lovey park and pond area . |The land lord and his wife were very nice and gave me a warm greeting and recommended great places for eating ..|| Thank u for your time.

Went for a quick drink on a Saturday lunchtime. I really enjoyed the buzz. Good service, good beer and a very atmospheric clientele. I would happily make this my local. In fact I probably will!
