I stopped off in Tamworth to visit the castle and when I was finished it appeared to be lunchtime. I made a decision to pop into The Penny Black, just so as not to be rude, and I was pleased that the beer was cold, the staff were friendly and the food was tasty. Well done folks, I would highly recommend a visit here for yourself.

The last few occasions I have been to this pub. Ordering from the mixer app and my drinks especially are not appearing on their system. You speak to the staff behind the bar about it and they just don't really seem to be concerned. The food menu has changed recently it's starting to become more expensive and not really great value for money, to eat at this pub. You seem to get better service if you go in for breakfast in the morning before 12 noon. They need to sort out what ever is going on with there systems.

We had a good experience at The Penny Black in Tamworth! After an afternoon of shopping, we popped in for a bite to eat and easily found a table and were quickly served at the bar. We enjoyed watching the football game while savoring two rare steaks cooked perfectly, a mixed grill, and three delicious fudge cakes. The food was served promptly and tasted great. I recommend this place for good food and efficient service.

We came here to watch the women's England v Columbia quarter-final game. We decided to have breakfast and a few beers whilst watching the game. Having not eaten in here for many years, we were really surprised with how great value the food was. We both ordered full English breakfasts and for the money we paid, felt that you couldn't beat it! Great experience, I just wish that they would improve the toilet facilities!

Been in tonight, very welcoming, the food we had was served quickly and piping hot. Paul the managers so helpful and frendly. Will definitely be going back.

Terrible service!!! I went with family for food. My sister in law ordered 3x kids meals and was asked about what desserts they would like as these came free with the meal. I ordered 2x kids meals but didn't get asked about the dessert so didn't realise they had one. When my sister in laws children's desserts finally came out and I realised my children didn't have any i asked if we could have ours. We were told no, we have to pay extra because we didn't order them with the food. I was in shock!!! They found the receipt and seen we had 2x kids meals and still would NOT give us our desserts. Obviously the kids without were very upset. I've never experienced such a tight pub. Especially when children are involved!! What would of it cost to give 2x small bowels of ice-cream. We paid for it!!
