My son suggested I take my 7 year old Grandson here in the summer holidays to see the The Old Joint Stock Theatre Company performing Toad of Toad Hall. It sounds a little incongruous taking one's 7 year old grandson to a pub to see the theatre. I booked us a table for lunch before the performance. Thankfully his daddy was able to break away from work to join us for lunch. It was an incredibly hot day and the performance was outside in the beer garden. Thankfully there were umbrellas over the tables. The poor actors were less shaded. They sang, danced and cavorted. Children were invited to take part as ducks. One plucky lad volunteered to be the Judge - and then refused to send Toad to Jail! I would travel far to see these performers. This is the only platform I have found so far to say how wonderful they are. I'd love to know more about their bios and see them again. My head was full of their songs for weeks after and I had a silly grin on my face whenever I thought of them- still do almost a month later!

The Lord Northbrook is a vibe. So appealing and such a nice place to hang out with the family or friends or kids. The food is tasty and the staff are so warm and its literally a great pub. I would highly recommend it.

Came here randomly on Sunday and what a lovely pub, lots of doggies, the staff were all brilliant attentive and polite. The food was really good the best roast around. Super happy to have found this place. The toilets were clean and the whole area smelt nice! Highly recommend.

I had a meal with my grandparents here last night. The pub is a nice environment and it has a good garden area. It's a great place for a pint. Unfortunately, the food was not very good. I would have given this review a 3/5, but the bar and serving staff were all really great so I bumped up to a 4/5. I think they should focus on doing simpler pub food better and increasing the portion sizes.

We had a lovely meal at The Lord Northbrook. Each plate was presented with great care and attention, and they were able to adapt dishes to our needs (e.g. my son was able to order a completely plain burger and chips). It was easy to book via the website and staff were lovely. Edit in Feb 2025 - we have visited the Lord Northbrook for a few special occasions now and every single time we have been so impressed with the care and attention given by the staff members we encountered, from booking through to paying. The food is also consistently delicious. 100% recommended, what a fantastic place.

Very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The store has a lovely interior as well as a stunning back yard perfect for the sunny days. Food was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly.

The food was alright, but I was expecting a bit more given the really high reviews. I’ve had better roasts elsewhere for better value. That said, the staff were excellent – really friendly and attentive, which made the visit much more enjoyable. Would I go back? Yes, mainly because of the service, but I’d hope for a bit more from the food next time.
