We went for a Sunday roast. The service was impeccable and food was excellent. I ordered a mixed veggie roast, the portion was massive and tasty. I loved the decoration of the dining room and the big windows. Perfect for a chill and sunny day.

Went here for lunch during a weekday, not many patrons around which suited me just fine. Ordered the Vegan Fish and Chips, which was the tastiest vegan fish and chips I've ever had. The barman was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be visiting again!

A lovely pub with a historic interior. The jazz band we saw was excellent. Great vibe with a good selection of drinks. We had a Sunday Roast. I had a lamb shank which was very good but I would have preferred if the whole plate wasn't doused in gravy. Presentation could be improved. Portion size was enormous but bigger isn't necessarily better. My wife really enjoyed her beef roast though. Worth checking out.

Only just opened and had been looking forward to going as a local. We had the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint! Very good indeed. The pub itself is massive and newly renovated to a very high standard. Will go back for sure . Also staff were so polite and friendly.

First-time visit with my friend. We had a couple of pints. I got curious about their food, so we ordered curried cauliflower soup and venison stew. The soup was quite nice, creamy, thick, and flavorful. However, the stew was served straight from the microwave. The meat and dumpling were dry, the stew juice was watery, and the plate was messy. So I went to the bar with the plate and told them it wasn't worth £21, and they refunded me despite my willingness to pay for it because we had eaten some off the plate. Therefore, the service there is brilliant! Nice refurbished premises, surely I will give it another go!

Fabulous pub! I'm so glad this has opened. I never came to it before it closed, so have nothing to compare it to, but they've really done a fantastic job with the renovations. It has a few different seating areas depending on if you're a big group for drinks or wanting to sit in a proper dining room for food, and depending on the vibe you're feeling - more intimate cosy snugs areas as well as big group tables. We came for food and had the chicken burger, beef burger and the mac and cheese. Rarely am I satisfied with mac and cheese, but it was really great and I would order it again. Can't wait for the expanded menu to come and we'll be back to sample it all. I'm so happy this has opened. We will be coming back over and over!

I didn't eat there and went in the afternoon so it was quiet. Ideal because I had a book to finish. The barman was very friendly and the beer, Adams Old Ale, was excellent. They have 3 hand-pulled beers and Seacider. A range of craft and keg beers. Plus wines and spirits. The decor is a huge improvement in before and is quirky and comfortable. The inclusion of an upstairs toilet saves the previously long trek down to the basement. The kitchen is visible through a large window, so you can see the chefs at work. I really like it and will go often.
