The King's Head

Why is The King's Head good for fans?

City-centre pub close to Leicester railway station (around 650m), making it an easy pre/post-match meet-up. WhatPub notes it’s popular with visitors to the local football grounds, and the pub shows Sky Sports and TNT Sports, with screens in the bar, courtyard and roof terrace—handy for early kick-offs or post-game action. City-centre venues generally welcome away supporters and are about a 15–20 minute walk from King Power Stadium, so this works as a neutral matchday spot. With 12 handpulls and a rotating cask line-up, there’s ample choice for a quick pint, and bar snacks like cobs and samosas are usually available for a fast bite between travel and kick-off.

Nice friendly pub with 11 pumps serving good quality real ales. Meals not available but hot bar snacks are displayed on the bar. If in Leicester this comfortable traditional pub is well worth a visit. Quiz night on Thursday.

Quite splendid traditional pub in the centre of Leicester that offers a great range of cask ales (a dozen taps or more) at moderate prices. The pub is nicely decorated and comfy, and there's a small outside seating area in the back that even has its own TV. Nice community atmosphere, friendly and competent service. All round one of the best traditional pub options in the city.

Up at 5 and a 5-hour train trip to Leicester to watch "The Argyle " in Leicester today!! Really nice pub, plenty of real ales. And very good service. Met up with the "Midland cronies" and I had a couple of Black Horse Christmas ales, which were excellent. Could have done without the full Christmas music, though !! But hey ho I am a Grinch!!! We got stuffed, but who cares 🤔 😁. Still a cracking day out and we get to go back to sunny Plymouth 🌞

Killing time in Leicester, I found it in the CAMRA guide. Big range of hand pumps, nice inside, roof terrace. It is not very inviting from the street, but it is a great little pub.

Was in before watching the rugby. So very busy. We had our daughter so only able to sit outside, it does have a retractable roof and sides, but fortunately not raining.

Hidden place in a small alley. Cool friendly staff. Nice service. Variety in cask. Food is tasty. Love the atmosphere especially fireplace. Have outdoor seatings too. Not a bad place for quick drink.

Nice pub, typical black country ales with a wide choice of beers, including stouts and porters. Samosas, cobs all decent.
