Visiting family here, my cousin took us to their local. Great food, great service and good drinks. What more can a man ask for?

The Horton has always been a 'safe go-to for good food' ... and the staff are lovely and are what make this place so welcoming. We recently went and couldn't find any of the usual choices on the menu....such as the Trio of burgers, Beef burger, Pizza, Munch Mugs etc, which have slowly been faded out over the last year or two. Nothing else stood out for sharing, and some dishes such as the rice salmon dish at £20 seemed expensive for a light lunch...especially when you can get a similar dish at Wagamama's in Manchester for £15.20. Hopefully, at our next get-together, we will see more snacking or sharing options for our group. As already mentioned, great pub 5*, great staff 5*, Food choice/menu 3* for our group.

Wear your stretchy pants!! Huge portions served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Menu was a happy surprise, a twist in the pubgrub norm. We had the gnochi, the tandori chicken and some sides Easy 5 stars

Very nice traditional pub, seemed very clean. There's small to medium beer garden with nice plants and well kept, clean seating. We only had a portion of chips, they were tasty and hot so that bodes well for the rest of the menu. The staff were very friendly and interactive, which i appreciate. I would feel happy to return here and try more food and just enjoy the atmosphere of the place.

I’ve lived in the area for 7 years and The Horton Arms has always been a 5 stars for me and my family, unfortunately not any more. Increased food prices, reduced food choice, atmosphere depleted, service not as good. Not once did any member of staff ask if we needed anything at our table or if everything was ok, this on a quiet day..

We came here the other day when there was a bit of a rush. Safe to say we will NEVER return. The managers treat their staff terrible, especially the elder female manager. Food is mediocre at best and the toilets stunk of urine. As I’ve been told, the managers instruct employees to leave fake reviews and they’re the only think keeping this pub afloat. We used to love coming here until it’s come under new management. I can see from previous reviews they can’t take critism! Do not run an establishment if you cannot take constructive criticism. A message to the managers: treat your staff and HUMAN, and wash those loos!!! I will not be surprised if I get a horrible reply no doubt from the elder woman who can’t keep her temper in check in front of guests!!

We went for Sunday lunch. I am a vegetarian and live in the North East where cheese pie is not usually on the menu. So when I come to Lancashire I always choose it. The pie here was the best I have had. The pastry was perfect. Everyone else enjoyed their beef Sunday roast too.
