Why is The Glass Works good for fans?

Right across from Chesterfield’s SMH Group Stadium, The Glass Works is a go-to matchday spot—designated by visiting clubs as the main pub for away fans. It shows live sport (including Sky Sports) and has Sports TV screens, making it handy for early kick-offs. On matchdays the pub adds an outside bar to ease queues, and quick bites like pork/steak pies are available—useful if you want a fast pre- or post-match refuel. Its location opposite the ground means minimal walking time and an easy rendezvous before heading in.

To say it’s a small pub, they offer a wide range of beers & ciders and at a really good price! Probably the best priced in the area(Whittington moor) I can imagine this place having a really good atmosphere on a match day but unfortunately not the same at 1pm on a Friday. But overall it’s a lovely pub with comfortable seating and a decent beer garden with plenty of seats available outside too. You can vape inside too, big plus for some…

Nice little boozer... Apart from serving Guinness in a Madri glass...🙄 Ok it was from the outside bar but it's still a crime...😂

Excellent little pub owned by Brampton Brewery. Great community feel. No meals but bar snacks available. Sport on two TVs. Beer of the week is £2.90 at time of writing.

Good selection of ales (they do a beer of the week) as well as Belgian lagers too, very dog friendly (treats on the bar, dogs welcome inside and out), decent sized outside terrace area too!
