We had a lovely visit to this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The seabass was fresh and delicious, and the Sunday roast was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The setting is absolutely beautiful – a charming building with a stunning garden in a peaceful location by the river. The atmosphere was very relaxing, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. It’s also a dog-friendly place, which we really appreciated. Free parking is another great bonus. Highly recommended for a relaxing meal in a lovely setting!

Lovely place, slow service host wasn't present and waited over 30 minutes for food order which was very basic. Overcooked chicken and very ungenerous on the prawn starter with only 3 prawns! Not a great experience unfortunately, the dog was very happy all the same.

The food was great, very tasty! The pub has a nice atmosphere, and we enjoyed the vibe. However, as a large group, we requested separate tabs but were told we could divide the bill at the end, which turned into quite a mess. Some bundled courses were mixed up, and splitting the bill as planned wasn’t possible. A better payment system for larger groups would be appreciated. On a positive note, the pub is pet-friendly and has a huge garden, making it a spot we’d definitely return to in better weather.

Lovely place, yummy food, great service... Their dishes are really good and service was fast. I had the cajun frites AMD chorizo sausage, both are starters but why not. My friends had apple crumble and they told me it's fantastic

Our host Chloe was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere and decor was really lovely and the portion sizes were great. Two of us are gluten free and they were able to cater for us nicely. The food was good but could be better. Roast had a nice selection. Seabass was a bit tasteless. Pavlova was quite dry. Overall we did have a nice time here.

Came here for the first time after seeing it on TripAdvisor. Food was great- especially the premium sausage and mash. Both the inside and outside are brilliant and the service was great, Maddie is a really helpful waitress. strong recommend :)

My family and I had a really lovely time at The Cunning Man recently. It’s such a beautiful, traditional pub building, airy and open with lots of seating options. The food we ordered was very nice and the prices are not too bad. What really made the experience a memorable one was the service. We were served by a fantastic young man called Ben. He was really cheery and very attentive to our needs. He checked up on us and made sure we had everything we needed. He was really lovely with the children - an absolute star!

We had gorgeous food and even better service. Margot served us for the evening and she was so attentive. We never wanted for anything, such a smiley face and warm presence. You feel like you've been friends for years, she puts you at such ease. Would highly recommend, great staff and great food.
