This was a lovely pub to visit, with an old style aided by a massive light on the ceiling! The bar is well-presented with some flashy decorations, where friendly staff delivered service. I enjoyed a bottle of WKD Blue, situated comfortably on a clean table that suitably has placemats!

Once upon a time a favourite of mine, now a very infrequent customer, instead i go next door to The County. Upon entering the Angel you've a good chance of being greeted by the foul smelling drains, the bar prices are now extortionate, it's pretty dead even Friday/Saturday night but can be busy.. ish afternoons with sport on the TVs especially racing. It's basically gone down, down, downhill year on year for the last half a dozen years and has lost favour with a lot of it's regulars. I still call in for the occasional drink but it's definitely lost it's mojo along with the option of "buy two, get one free" When going to all the other pubs which are ALL significantly cheaper and tbh have a lot more to offer their customers.

Horrible, rude, miserable woman behind the bar, short dark hair, old woman, lots of wrinkles on her face, if this is the landlady no wonder the place is always empty, she has a serious attitude problem, you would have thought looking like she does she would have tried to make up for it with a good personality, but no chance of that
