Sir Robert Peel

Why is Sir Robert Peel good for fans?

The Sir Robert Peel is a convenient pre-match stop just a five-minute walk from Leicester City’s King Power Stadium and Leicester Tigers’ ground. It shows Sky Sports and TNT Sports, making it handy for early kick-offs or post-match highlights. The pub is described as a home base for Foxes and Tigers fans on the way to games, and it adapts hours around local fixtures. On matchdays, when the kitchen is closed, quick bar snacks like cobs, pies and sausage rolls are offered—useful for a fast bite before heading to the turnstiles.

This Pub is a Jewell in the heart of Leicester I only go a couple of times a year the gaffers son who’s name I’ve forgot already served us today like his Father the service is faultless why is it a cheese and onion cob can taste so good made by someone else, good selection of beer and my favourite Cider Old Rosie.

An excellent pub which has such charm. We often come on an evening to have one drink, and end up staying for multiple because it’s such a nice atmosphere. The log fire in winter is just gorgeous. Especially love the Thursday pub quiz and the new owners are fantastic, such a welcoming environment!

This pub, in my opinion, is one of the few genuine gems which remain in the city. A proper pub always serving a great selection of ales with a suitable but simple food offering to complement the drinks menu. A really characterful building which I hope can be preserved amongst the faceless concrete developments around it. I only wish I lived closer and I would drink there more often.

This was the nearest pub to our hotel. Quite on the night we went. Friendly staff, happy to let us taste their beer before choosing. A nice ambience.
