Sandford Park Alehouse

out of 1239 reviews

Why is Sandford Park Alehouse good for fans?

A solid pre-match option in Cheltenham’s centre: it’s listed among pubs with TNT Sports/TV sport, so you can catch live football before or after the game. It serves food with stated lunch and dinner hours, handy for lining up a meal around kick-off. Away-day guides from visiting clubs call it away-fan-friendly, while Football Ground Guide also recommends it for home supporters—so expect a mixed, welcoming crowd. It’s on the High Street and flagged as close to bus routes, making travel to/from the stadium straightforward. Beer choice is a major draw on matchdays too, with the venue advertising around 10 cask lines and 16 keg lines.

First time visiting the Sandford Park Alehouse for a roast dinner on 13th July with my daughter. Seriously did not disappoint. Ordered the rare roast beef, it was like two large steaks, vegetables were good. My daughter had the nut roast which she says is usually a hit and miss with restaurants but she said it was really good. Great staff. Would recommend 10/10

What a fabulous pub! Real ale and the food is out of this world! A group of four loved the fish finger sandwich - but only available at lunchtime. The sandwich selection is great, the bread divine and they come with the tastiest fries - delicious! We came back last night for dinner and l can honestly say l ate the best ever bavette steak with chips and peppercorn sauce. It was exceptional 👏 👌 🙌 Well done Sandford Park. If we were local you would be our local

Nice place but I felt very sad that I was charged more for a pint of lemonade and Orange juice mixed than people were paying for their premium beers, 5.60. That put me off. That said the pub is nice and staff are friendly.

Yet another fantastic Sunday roast here. There were 11 of us, so this time we were in our own cosy room at the front with the fire on. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food, best Sunday roast I have had out. One of our friends is a vegetarian and she loved the nut roast. All staff were very attentive and friendly, especially with our chaotic children! We will be back soon :)

Great little Engkish pub. I was a little disappointed to find out we couldn't order from their regular menu, but the chicken menu of the night was excellent. It was a Tuesday to be clear. I got an American style chicken and waffles with bacon on it, very very good. Whatever spices they put in the chicken breading was excellent. The atmosphere was that of a regular English pub and the service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend if you are in Cheltenham.

Great pub with absolutely really good food. The service was excellent! We had the Stake Ale Pie, Halloumi Red Pepper and Avocado Slalad, and the Sriracha and Jalapeños Dirty Fries. The ales they have are great too, so is the cider!
