Since being under new management the food is really lovely absolutely no complaints. My only problem is the parking, have been 3 times each time found no spaces..difficult if you have someone who can't walk far. Is it not possible to have parking spaces outside the main door ? The pub was empty when we arrived at 12 noon midweek so may just a few spaces could be allocated for Disabled badge drivers. Service was excellent and the young chap behind the bar very polite.

The Old Hall is a fantastic pub with a cozy atmosphere and great selection of drinks! We had some excellent service from Scott, our waiter who was incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Old Hall Pub has quickly become my favorite spot! The perfect blend of amazing ambiance, delicious food, and great drinks makes every visit special. It's rare to find all three in one place, but Old Hall delivers on every front. Whether you're coming for a meal or just to relax, this place has it all.
The only thing I’d love to see improved is the kitchen hours. Closing at 9 pm feels a bit early, especially for those of us who like to stay longer and enjoy a relaxed evening of food and conversation. Our friends' group loves spending time here, and we would love to enjoy the food a little later into the night.
Overall, still an amazing spot!

Quite nice pub in Altrincham with good food 👍
Old English style interior & exterior design.
Clean and well maintained 🪩
Plenty of seating places outside and local nature reserve would do a big bonus to your visit during good weather 🌤️🌥️🌈
Quick drink and food service 👌
Thank you for keeping such a nice place 🙏

Food was ok. Not bad not amazing. But the service was poor. Feel kind of sorry for the 1 young lad that seems to serving all the tables and running the bar at the same time. They forgot things ordered but replaced but not till half way through meal. Then when ordering desert they bought 1 out of 5 made us wait about 10 minutes the following 2 and the the last 2 didn't come until after the other deserts had been finished! Main meals was similar with wait in between being served which for just 5 people and not that busy is not great! We where just trying to have a family meal together.

This is a tricky review to write. My partner and I have been customers of the old hall for almost 30 years. We have seen it at it's best and it's worst. We were so keen to try it because it was under new management. I know that the new manager has had a lot to contend with and this includes deep cleaning, fixing broken things etc. Unfortunately, the food was way below acceptable. We aired our views and got a refund for the food. We didn't want a refund, even though this was the decent thing to do. We wanted to enjoy the meal that we came for. It was low quality, dry and extremely disappointing. The staff ,one particular lady was absolutely run off her feet to say the least!!! Leaving one person serving at the bar and the queue was ridiculous! The outside is still full of litter and feels grotty. Again, I know that a lot needs fixing here due to previous ownership. I think that the community and DEFINITELY including myself would love this place to work. Maybe involve the community to help to spruce it up, again I will be willing to help. The driveway, the setting and the building are beautiful. I genuinely wish you lots of luck to turn this place around. At the moment, it is not meeting people's expectations.

WARNING: Before attending this pub for real ale, telephone to check that they are actually serving it. Several times I have attended, only to find that there is no beer available. What is the point of a pub without beer?
Yesterday, (1st June), their 'excuse' was that the sir conditioning in the cellar wasn't working. Why does the lack of air conditioning prevent the sale of real ale, which is best served at room temperature in any case?
Very poor.

We were a table of 12 with a late afternoon booking on a Sunday. We did book in advance and were placed in a quiet part of the pub away from the main bar area. This was great as the children could be themselves and we were not going to disrupt other guests. We were told upon booking that, due to the large table number, we may not be able to have our food served at the same time and that there may be a slight delay for other dishes. This honestly was appreciated so we knew exactly what to expect and in reality I think everyone had their meals within 3-4 minutes which was a fantastic response.
The bar staff were great, very helpful and friendly and full of smiles. Similarly for the serving staff who were attentive to our needs but not overbearing either.
The price of the children’s desserts and the serving sizes were incredible value for money, I think we paid £1.29 for a two scoop ice cream sundae which all the children devoured. In actual fact, the whole menu was very favourably placed and very good value for money. My only criticism would be of the beef chilli as there was a disproportionately small amount of chilli to the amount of rice served however the flavour of the chilli was great - there just needed to be more of it to enjoy!
Overall, a fantastic meal enjoyed by children ages 2 to adults aged over 80. We all had lovely food at great value and were served brilliantly by Lucy, Tom, Scott and Izzy. Thank you all.
