kitchen was opening only at 4pm even of advertised much wadliwe. ordered drinks waited 20min only to be told guiness is not available been offered different beer choose bira moretti only to be told will need to wait for the barrel to be changed. food was quick once the kitchen opened great service (very nice and friendly staff). in general good vibe too! if not the wait for the drinks and late kitchen opening would be 5 stars for all

Visited to use the dart boards on a rowdy Friday night. Boards were in decent condition. Not a bad night, but feel the Moorhen has gone downhill a bit over the years. Decent pub with all the drinks you could ask for. They show Live sports and have a good menu of food... But toilets aren't that nice and can draw a certain type of person that might cause trouble.

Lovely pub/restaurant with nice views over the water. We had lunch (mixed grill and the southern chicken burger) i got gravy with the chips and that was soo tasty!. Food was just all delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It will be nice in summer to sit outside in the seating area. We will be back for some more yummy food!

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere especially in garden area outside. There was also a quiz going on inside which we didn't join in with on this occasion as we were enjoying sitting outside and awaiting our food order but might attend in the future. Good hearty pub food, excellent price - especially as we had received a voucher through the door for 30% off.

New menu, lovely and friendly staff, and Lush food. I go here for a pub quiz that they run from 7 pm to around 9:30-10pm. ( £1 per person and a cash prize and runner-up prizes of wine).on a Sunday evening. As I am part of a team that takes part. I can highly recommend the steak with a good choice side. If you don't want chips, they offer Mash, Jacket potato, or Salad. Ask about vegetarian options or check out the menu. Also, have a good range of spirits, beers, and lagers on tap cocktail menu and a glorious Sunday roast available till 5pm. Soft drinks are available, too. Children friendly and free WiFi. Sports are available to watch. Wheelchairs are welcome, too. Dogs are also welcome, I enjoy a good laugh with the staff and manager/ess. Join, Joe, Ciaran, Craig and all the staff for excellent service, and Lush food and a very good atmosphere. The smoking areas are available ( just ask one of the bar staff). Sorry, there are no photos. Children's menu is available, and you can build your own dessert as I did last week. You can pay for each item or for smaller treats. Try using the kids menu.😁😁😁👍👍👍.

It was an average experience. Heard lot of things about this place but it came out not to be true. Food was average both quality and quantity wise. I went to order food at 8:50 pm when they told me they can’t but the time for last order is 9 pm. It’s like they don’t want to do business.

Came here with my parents on Bank holiday Sunday. Enjoyed an amazing roast beef dinner and was served by a very friendly bartender Marilyn. She was very knowledgeable and bubbly. She took an interest in our two miniature schnauzers also.

My wife ordered the fish and chips, but the fish was awful, it didn't taste right at all. They did replace the meal with a fresh mac & cheese, so fair play to them, but it wasn't a nice experience
