Why is Larwood & Voce good for fans?
Larwood & Voce is less than a five-minute walk from Nottingham Forest’s City Ground and sits at the corner of Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, making it a convenient pre-match stop. The club’s own matchday guide notes large screens showing live sport and describes it as a home-fans venue, while live Premier League/TNT fixtures are advertised on third-party listings. FootballGroundGuide highlights it as a lively pre-match spot for Forest supporters, with outdoor space, TV screens and bars serving a range of food and drink—useful if you want atmosphere close to the stadium before kickoff.

A group of us came here for our colleagues farewell lunch.
We arrived at 12pm even though our table was booked for 12:30 but the table was already ready. Our server Leon was super lovely from the moment we arrived and did all he could to accommodate those of us in the group who didn’t have much time as they had to be back for meetings. That being said we never felt rushed or overwhelmed with the service and Leon did all he could to make sure we were stocked on drinks, orders were taken (even those people we joining sporadically), and that people were aware of how their food may come etc. Leon was friendly and helpful but not overbearing. I had the soup and a large coke which was £10 total, the price was excellent as it’s not often you can get high quality for a decent price.
This was my first time and experience at Larwood & Voce but I certainly will be coming back .

Called in on a Saturday evening a couple of weeks ago, very surprised to see the pub so quiet but it was probably due to the cricket international finishing early so those that were at the cricket had already left and those that wanted to avoid somewhere busy had given it a swerve.
The result was that we were the only diners so had the run of the place. Served by Leon who was great, very attentive and friendly but didn’t fuss over us too much. It was nice to have someone who had some personality as it must have been difficult with a pretty much empty pub!
Food was good but disappointing that there were a few choices missing from the menu.

Went for Sunday Lunch. Opted for the Beef rump roast. Meat was pink as requested. I can honestly say that the food was beautiful and the best Sunday lunch gravy I've had in a long time.I normally come away from a pub roast thinking my home cooked taste better but not today!. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Disappointingly terrible for our team Christmas dinner.
We spent almost £700 as a team. The calamari was half cooked and reheated, with varying portion sizes which we sent back twice.
The trifle had runny custard and the meats (pigs in blankets, pork belly was extremely salty) were cold especially the turkey.
We came over dressed because we remember this restaurant as being the place for nice food and atmosphere and I doubt we will ever return.
Avoid. There are nicer places to eat in West Bridgford.

Pub with dining, adjacent to Trent Bridge cricket ground. A wide selection of real ale, beer, lager, gin, wines and spirits available. Can get busy on matchdays.

Pre-ordered breakfast for a party of 6 for 10.30. Had an extra person join at 10.35 so ordered another breakfast and paid for it up front. Chased the breakfast at 11 to be told that breakfast had finished and they could only offer a refund. No apology or real explanation given.
I then went and got a sausage cob from around the corner to then be stopped on the way back in and be told that no outside food allowed in. Explained and got bar staff out who repeated the policy despite the context. Asked for manager only to be told by the bar kid it was his dad and I’d get the same response. Customer service course required for Christmas.
Terrible experience, I’m a regular customer on Forest match days but not anymore.
Worth adding that everything on the breakfasts that were served looked undercooked.

Chaos when busy. Came for lunch at the weekend. Had fish & chips - fish was really lovely but the chips were barely cooked and inedible. I complained to the waiting staff and she shrugged and was unbothered. Waited twenty minutes for the bill and ended up going to the bar to pay. Convenient for Trent Bridge is all it has going for it.
