Lakeland Gate is convenient for Brunton Park: Carlisle United advise taking the no. 63 bus from the city centre and alighting at the Lakeland Gate Inn, from where the stadium is a short walk. The pub serves food (including breakfasts and a Sunday carvery), which suits pre-match or post-match plans, and it has on-site parking for those driving on matchdays. The club’s away-fan guide states that, in general, travelling supporters can use any pub in Carlisle except the Caledonian and the Beehive, so Lakeland Gate is typically a neutral option for both home and away fans.

This was my first visit. The attention to detail regarding food allergies was second to none. I opted for the carvery Roast Dinner. I was even offered that the chef would prepare me some vegetables, especially, as the ones already prepared contained dairy. The food was delicious. The meat, turkey, and beef were both cooked to perfection. There is nothing I can say in a negative vein at all.
I will definitely come back again.

Lovely Brewers Fayre, clean and warm.
Food is plentiful and a reasonable price, I had the gammon from the lunch menu. Staff were helpful and friendly. Enjoyed my lunch time stop here.

We stayed at the premier inn next door. Had a nice pint in the evening but the pub/lounge area is a bit small and as a result gets a bit noisy and just one bar staff so sometimes a bit of a wait at the bar.. Buffet breakfast for £11 is good, lovely food including black pudding that they will cook to order. Selection of teas and coffees. Friendly and helpful staff.

The children love the soft play area. It's easy to see where they are. There is also a free outdoor play area.
We had a sharing platter last time we visited. Kids food is a good price. Refillable soft drinks available.
Breakfasts are good

Excellent experience today. We used the play area for 4 children at £4.50 each (clean and tidy) we all had meals which were fresh and hot - everything from burgers to Katsu curry, crispy prawns, curry, pizza and alcohol free beer was cold with clean glasses. The slim young lady serving us was attentive and very polite.

Sounds like the same message, a massive list of not available items that are NOT shown to you while being seated??!!! At least do that so we can only work with a 50% bang average food.

Can’t beat an all you can eat breakfast where children eat for free with a paying adults.
