Popped on and I thought it would be packed but there were loads of seats inside. Once you enter you could see the unique vibe and ambiance inside, I just love how it feels. They have their own beer and it really tastes good and not priced steeply. The staff were very friendly and easy to approach. Definitely going back and trying their food.

Lovely old pub in the centre of Shrewsbury. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good choice of drinks and food.
We had the fish finger butty and mushrooms on toast - delicious, highly recommend. It also dog friendly 👍

As visitors from out of town we hadn’t been into this place for many years. Popped in today for a quick bite to eat and we weren’t disappointed. Lovely interior, as are all Joules pubs generally, and as it was on the early side we had the pick of the place, which rambles through several rooms/areas either side of the bar, plus upstairs. Beer was spot on and the food was great, monkfish curry was absolutely delicious. Top marks to the staff, very friendly and attentive without being too fussy. Can’t fault the place based on this visit.

Absolutely stunning place! Such an interesting interior! The food is fantastically delicious! We took the fish, it was the tastiest fish ever eaten in a pub! The service is very kind. I ordered a mango margarita. It was perfect! So maybe the food had to wait quite a long time, even though there were not many visitors. But it's definitely a place to come back to!

First time visit. Loved the decor and the history of the place with the artwork. Not sure of the name of the beer I had but it was a nice pint. My wife loved the rosè too.

Stunning interior bringing a modern twist to an ancient building. The pub is full of different seating areas and private boothes, also has outdoor seating area. Really friendly bar staff and a good selection of real ales brewed by Joules.

What a cornucopia of sheer pleasures from fabulous food to a perfect selection of drinks.
We booked in for a Sunday lunch which was excellent. Succulent meats and fresh veg a plenty. Wisely, each Sunday lunch comes with fabulous homemade Yorkshire puddings.
Every course was delicious and the service impeccable without being over bearing.
The decor is a monster mash of old and new which works brilliantly. Quirky and fun!
Glad we tried it, we will be back to try the main menu.
