This gastro pub offers a fantastic selection of drinks, including craft beers, cocktails, and mocktails—all of great quality. But what truly sets it apart is the food. They serve authentic Hong Kong cuisine that’s hard to come by, even compared to many Chinese restaurants in Chinatown! The atmosphere is vibrant and thoughtfully designed, blending Hong Kong-style decor—like traditional tiles and Chinese tableware—with classic British pub elements such as cozy leather couches, a mix of low and high tables, and a large blackboard menu. They’ve even got board games available for anyone who wants to relax and have some fun. All in all, this is an amazing spot. It’s rare to find a pub that delivers such a perfect mix of quality food, great drinks, unique ambiance, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere, perfect spot for catching up with friends. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. There’s a wide selection of beers, and the cocktails were especially impressive — creative, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We had a lovely meal. The food was great, especially for the price point. For the location also, I believe the price is great. We had the typhoon shelter chips and chicken wings, which tasted excellent. I'd have liked the wings to be a bit bigger but I was not disappointed with the dish. I had the beef brisket and rice (£14, VERY reasonable) We also had the coconut curry chicken rice gratin. (£13.50) the portion was huge and was really tasty. The cocktail we had was about £8 and delicately delicious. All in all, if we consider the location, price and quality. I'm very happy with our meal there. I suppose the true measure is, would we go again? It's a resounding yes.

I came all the way from Scotland and made sure to stop by this place. I’m really glad I did. 😎 They have a wide selection of beers. Since I was driving that night, I went with a non-alcoholic one, which was surprisingly good. The grilled chicken rice had authentic Hong Kong flavor which was very comforting and tasty. 🥰The bite-sized Hong Kong Style French Toast was perfectly crispy on all sides, and really delicious. What made the experience even better was the staff. They were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole evening feel relaxed and pleasant. 💕💕 Can’t wait to come back (and maybe next time, I’ll leave the car at home)! 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻

A great bar with tasty Hong Kong style food! The best one you can find in Manchester! The rose-lychee cocktail is so good too! Highly recommended🫶🏼! Will definitely come again!

There are plenty of beer options, which is a plus, and the seafood rice gratin was quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was let down by the long wait—nearly an hour before the food arrived. The salt and pepper pork chop was crispy but a bit too tough, likely over-fried. The curry fish balls, though larger than usual, lacked flavor, and even the white radish hadn’t absorbed any taste, falling short of typical street food standards. The hawthorn sweet and sour chicken with rice was average. As for the crispy shrimp toast, it barely had any shrimp flavor—the previous version without salted egg yolk was actually much better.

A great little venue which has a fantastic selection of local beers and the most amazing Hong Kong style food. There were 9 of us for food and we were served quickly and all loved what we had to eat. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area

I think I am one of MCR foodie last half years about Asian Food over 360k viewers and this pub is my regular top 3 I must drive far away from city centre, visit the very typical Asian food , this one is Salt tofu vegetable rices , with beer just only £13.8 only, the cinder beer is keep high quality and special it is unforgettable. Why don't you come and try this all ??
