It's had a refurb and looks lovely from the outside now. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Service can be a little slow but that's to be expected at busy times. There are two bars which is great depending on your mood (one is noisier).

Not a bad place for a drink, with two separate bars and a reasonable - if a bit limited - drinks menu. But the décor looks very tired and the interior quite dark, while the atmosphere was not particularly welcoming to me as a stranger The covered outside area, with heaters, was a bonus on a damp, chilly evening after work.

The Douglas Bank catered for my 60th birthday. They did a lovely buffet and it was a very nice atmosphere. There was also easy access for my mum's wheelchair and disabled toilet. Thanks!
