Regular customer food is always great at a reasonable price, most of the times I've visited the heating has been on really high and it's unbearable, had a range of feels over the years and they've always been fantastic, would recommend if you want a better experience then weather spoons, would recommend you book a table

Absolutely a great place to go. The staff are amazing and really helpful. We visited with 11 people and all the food we ordered was excellent.

I will never not give this please 5* all round. The staff are incredibly friendly the managers that work here are always lovely to my family and my grandma who is elderly and always struggles to get about they are especially kind to her. We have been coming here for years and years and have never had a bad meal itself has the best value for money and you never go away hungry the portion sizes are great food and drinks are both cheap they also do blue light discount and there is often offers on. Great atmosphere all the time, sports is often on and good pool table too.

We love our little area tables 31 and 32, our favourite place. Us girls love to sit in our corner and converse. Staff always makes us welcome, even remember what we want before we do. Thanks 😊

We were nearby and friend suggested to pop in for a dinner with kids. What a pleasant surprise!!! Place was very busy, but we found a table, friendly staff, plenty of food options even for my kids-picky eaters. Portion size is good and desert was spot on. Will definitely come back again.

lady behind bar was lovely, can’t say the same about the rest of the experience, food was horrendous. Ordered the cheesy sharer and the Camembert came out like water & with zero presentation skills , it tasted like perfume or cleaning products , and when we told a member of staff she told us that’s how it should taste with a bad attitude, as someone who is very keen on Camembert and has it regular , I know it should not taste like perming solution , was supposed to come with chutney and didn’t so when we asked about it we were told it was in the delivery and that meant we couldn’t have it. A lady offered us a refund for the cheesy sharer and then went missing and never came back to us which resulted in us not getting a refund as she never returned, as we were having a starter we only ordered a light meal and the salad we ordered had 4 tiny pieces of steak on it and the rest was a bowl of lettuce. We are really not happy with this experience and for this reason we will most definitely never be returning here and I wouldn’t advise anyone else too either.

The Bold Forester is a friendly pub that I feel comfortable socialising with friends in. The staff are very accommodating and welcoming. The menu is varied pub grub, with something for everyone. All ages are welcome here.

Wow, really busy Friday night. What's going on? Didn't have food, just beer. Good night out with friends. Update: Daytime visit with wifey for some food. Really busy again but we managed to get a table and order some food. It was tasty enough and service was prompt but the presentation and quantity was, for me lacking, especially given the price which not the cheapest. Still given the place was packed, maybe I'm being a bit picky.
