Matchdays work here because the pub shows live sport on TV (loads of screens mentioned by reviewers), so you can catch the early/late kick-offs or televised away games. It’s used by fans post-match and for TV nights, and it sits right on West Bromwich High Street for an easy meet-up. Crucially, the kitchen serves throughout the day, so you can get a curry or mixed grill before or after the game without worrying about service gaps.
Prince was absolutely amazing! His service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful from start to finish. He made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable. Not only was he incredibly professional, but he also had such a kind and beautiful presence that truly stood out. I highly recommend asking for Prince—he’s a wonderful asset to the team! And sexy as anything
Worst place everything came cold the staff in this place not welcoming, customer service was the worst lady behind the counter wasn’t communicating no language barrier! The food order was mix grill never even came on a sizzler instead a plate it was cold no steam the chicken was dry cold rubbery didn’t even fall apart ridiculous kebab was crap chicken wings red within chutneys looked out of date honestly. The fish pakora on the side were like fish fingers battered again and prawns no flavour dead! Head chef had a attitude like he knows he right he blatantly said they have a had loads of complaints so a person using there mind would say there’s something wrong instead he never said anything blaming us even started to touch up our food disgusting not hygiene at all! Never coming back to this place it needs to be gone or sorted out
A lot of nostalgia and memories involved when discussing this Desi-Pub. I've had many great nights in here over the last 20 years, to the soundtrack of the Punjabi songs on the jukebox! Also been in on West Bromwich Albion match days when it's absolutely packed. Quite busy when big matches are on tv too. Food-wise, it's one of the original Desi-Pubs where people have been going for a Mixi. It may not always be to the taste of newer people in the mixed grill scene, but a lot of us older guys love it. Visited recently for the first time in years and was surprised that they've finally introduced table service. There had previously been occasions where I've ordered over £200 worth of food in a big group of lads, and we'd been made by the chef to collect it all ourselves! It's still the same main chef there though. Good selection of drinks. Noticed the prices have gone up a fair bit, but that's just life at the moment with almost everywhere. Bar area is great for chilling out with a beer, playing pool etc. Separate restaurant area is very comfy with big booths for large groups. Big outside space too for smokers or drinking in the summer.
Totally disgusted with the guy behind the counter, took our order and got it wrong. It didnt help that he didnt speak good English! He should've recapped what we ordered before he took the money! When the food came out he ignored our complaint that he put in the wrong order. We hadn't even touched the food and he refused to change the order! The food is usually good but we won't return there again, we regularly go there and spend hundreds. Due to his lack of customer service they have lost me, my family, my friends and their families.
Went here after quite a long time. Was disappointed in the food. The kebabs were dry and the curries sweet with a lot of sauce but not much substance. Naans were delicious and the beers nice and cold. Would go again but try different curries.
