📍 0.7 miles from Vicarage Road
In Watford town centre on the High Street, Walkabout markets itself as the “home of live sport,” listing Sky Sports and TNT Sports with large HD screens—ideal for catching early/late kick-offs. It’s also named among the High Street pubs used by visiting supporters in an official away-day guide, and matchday reviews mention a friendly mix of home and away fans watching games together. With food served through the afternoon/early evening, it works well for pre-match meals and a central base before heading to Vicarage Road or for post-match pints.
Not best, beer served too cold. Don’t mind paying £6.05 for a pint I not had before but to get it served really cold and unable to taste it might as well have a bottle of water.
Amazing service and good choice of drinks, show’s the games too! Maya was so attentive and super friendly would recommend to anyone, also turns into a club on a fri/sat night and plays great tunes, will always come back to this place!!
Stopped in after an evening out. Fine enough. Not too busy for a Thursday. Punters are friendly. Big venue and has outdoor seating.
Would give a much better rating if they let my friends in. I booked a table for a birthday and paid a deposit, on the phone I was not told about any dress code. My friends didn’t get in since they had tracksuits, which fair enough had I known I would’ve told them to dress differently. They wouldn’t even make an exception for a birthday booking. Despite this the drinks were good and the music was too. Also got ripped off by the jäger bomb girls, my friend paid £12 for three when it should’ve been four
came here to see the ucl final and it was super busy!! thought I wasn't going to find a seat but the server Harry managed to find us a table spare and we had a great time! Will be back for the season. Food was also nice, had some wings which were tasty.
