Good for matchdays if you want a pint with the game on: CAMRA’s WhatPub lists BT Sport at the venue. It also serves hot food with published bar, lunch and Sunday menus, so you can eat pre- or post-match. Getting there (or moving on after full-time) is straightforward—WhatPub notes it’s close to bus routes and around 900m from Bushey station with London Overground access. Between the draught list and cask options, there’s plenty of choice for a quick stop before heading to or from the action.
Went for a Sunday roast with some friends and was lovely! Food was delicious, a proper Sunday roast! Service from our waitress Bethany was really good she was knowledgeable about menu and nothing was too much trouble, she is a real asset to the pub! Will definitely be going back!
Had an amazing Sunday roast at The Royal Oak. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. Booking online was very easy and smooth, the atmosphere was brilliant, warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. The Sunday roast was spot on. The staff were also super friendly and made us feel really welcome. We’ll definitely be back again.
A fabulous Valentine's dinner. Lovely atmosphere. The food was of excellent quality and made to perfection. The presentation was inviting and artistic. The staff super friendly and attentive. Thank you for making our evening so special.
Another fantastic meal at The Royal Oak last night with my family. Food was great as always, especially the chilli & garlic prawns, the scallops and the rib eye steaks cooked to perfection. I had the ham & colcannon special, which was fantastic. Host Amber & her team kept the drinks and the vibes flowing. We are so lucky to have this as our local, it’s so good it makes it really hard to go anywhere else.
Delicious Sunday roast! Super friendly staff, cosy atmosphere (inside the pub - there is an outdoor marquee/teepee type thing but it is not quite the warm weather required!!) The food was delicious - we went for lamb and beef and we're not disappointed. Generous portions (though perhaps an extra parsnip or two would have been nice!) but we did not want a dessert! Good enough to warrant a return visit sometime. Not much parking space outside the pub but a small free car park a minute's walk away.
