📍 1.8 miles from Swansea.com Stadium
Set in Swansea Marina/city centre, The Pump House is a practical pre-match stop: it’s listed by a Nottingham Forest fan guide as a city-centre pub welcoming away supporters, and notes the need to plan travel to the stadium from town. The pub serves food all day (typical hours 11:30–21:30) so you can eat before early kick-offs or after full-time, and it offers cask ales including Brains Rev James Original and Brains SA. WhatPub also highlights that it’s a spacious venue with a large outdoor area—handy for larger groups on matchdays.
Staff members there are so kind and patient and helpful, As visitors from China, all of us had a wonderful experience there. We booked on Thursday evening for the steak set menu, the price was unbeatable and the food was amazing. So we went there the next day for fish and chips. Really really good restaurant. Thank to the staff there we had a perfect time in Swansea. Hope to visit again soon!
I recently visited the Pump House Pub in Swansea and had a really pleasant dining experience overall. The pub has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, making it a comfortable spot for both casual meals and catching up with friends. One of the standout features is the lovely view of the waterfront/harbour area, which adds a really nice touch to the whole experience, especially if you’re seated near the windows. For food, I tried the jacket potato, BBQ cauliflower wings, and vegan nachos, along with a hot chocolate. The jacket potato was simple but well done—soft inside with fresh toppings and generous portion size. The BBQ cauliflower wings were definitely a highlight; they had a nice crispy coating with a smoky, slightly tangy BBQ flavour that worked really well. The vegan nachos were also enjoyable, loaded with toppings and a good mix of textures, making them quite filling and satisfying even as a shared dish. The hot chocolate was rich and comforting, perfect for a cold day and nicely presented. Service was another strong point. The staff were friendly, approachable, and attentive without being intrusive. Food arrived fairly quickly, which made the whole experience smooth and convenient. Overall, the Pump House Pub in Swansea offers good vegetarian and vegan-friendly options, solid portion sizes, and consistent quality. Combined with the nice views and relaxed atmosphere, it’s a great spot for a casual meal or drinks with friends. I would definitely return.
The food was decent and we really enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere was good as always however my first visit to the bar I was made to feel not very welcome by the brown haired girl with plaits serving. She was blunt and quite rude when I was ordering, went out of her way not to say please or thank you and just looked like she'd rather be anywhere else. Ive worked a bar myself for years so understand the feeling but simple manners and not making customers uncomfortable is basic stuff. Everyone else seemed fine.
Fabulous venue, Fabulous staff, Fabulous food. Only marked it 4 stars as I had to wait 45 mins for main course which meant I didn't have time to order dessert as I was seeing a show
Had a nice meal, good choice on menu, not too expensive for marina location
