Normally, I come here with family and everything is good. On this night, I came here with a friend and I happened to order a steak around 7:30pm. Firstly, I ordered the steak as medium rare on the app. I also ordered it with two sauces, peppercorns and blue cheese. The steak came out, thin and hard. There was only the peppercorn sauce on my plate. I cut into the steak and the steak was practically burnt. I asked for medium rare so obviously I was annoyed but I didn’t mind as long as it came back ok, the waitress came over and gave me my extra sauce and I told her that my steak was not medium rare. Five minutes later, the steak came back fresh and a lot thicker than it was prior. The steak being thicker than it was before I did not mind as long as it was cooked to medium rare. So, I cut into the steak, and to my surprise, the steak was quite literally raw. I’m sorry, but some parts of the steak was literally blue, others were rare, no part of this meat was medium rare. I’m extremely disappointed. Every time I have come to this pub prior I have had a good experience. I did not have the effort in me to complain again, so I left my meal and didn’t return. The place itself is good, just don’t rely on them making a good steak, dissatisfied to say the least.
Always fantastic from start to finish, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, food is always delicious perfect size and value for money, highly recommend the gammon and cocktails. Great serving time aswell never have to wait ages for your meal
Was greeted with a smile at the bar when ordering food and drinks. I ordered the MEGA mixed grill which I thought came in a skillet plate to keep the meats hot but it was served on a standard cold plate. Can't really complain about any of it was nicely cooked and I ate the lot 🐖🐷🐽 well almost 😊. My dad had sausage and mash and It came with 3 onion rings 🤷🏼♂️wich wasn't stated in the menu.
Enjoyed my sizzler steak. Service quick and with a smile. Couple of steaks ordered medium but we're more well done. Steak sauces were nice. Kids meals good value.
Opens at 12, best to arrive around then as it can get busy later. Great selection of food available with a kids menu as well. Food is served quickly and even when busy you do not have to wait long. The staff are friendly, helpfull and quick to clean the tables. Lots of space inside with seating outside as well. Good atmosphere. Great value for money. Regular buses on the road by the carpark.
