I think George Orwell may have been describing The Glebe in his article on the perfect English pub. Great beer & food, with the perfect atmosphere & service. And less than 5-minutes walk from the station.

Couldn’t really fault it. Excellent beer, great service. Traditional style pub very close to the train station. Friendly to away fans. Will return if ever in stoke. 40 minutes from the football ground.

I had an hour to kill between trains so visited the Glebe on a recommendation from a friend. It’s very conveniently located for the railway station, only a few minutes walk. My drink was OK and reasonably priced. However the attitude from the barperson towards me while they served me was verging on hostile and made me feel rather uncomfortable . I drank up quickly and left, I don’t think I shall be returning.

Visited twice. Food offer finished but excellent cheese boards were available with scotch eggs and pork pies. Great experience as visitors. Shame we live so far away. Recommend a visit

Called in at lunchtime. Had a great ham salad sandwich with all the trimmings, for a very reasonable £8.95. Also enjoyed 2 very well kept pints of the Joules ales, the Blonde and Pale. Highly recommended 👌
