π 0.5 miles from Hillsborough
On Middlewood Road by the Hillsborough Park Supertram stop, Beekeeper is a handy pre-match pint spot on the route to Hillsborough. CAMRA and WhatPub place it near the tram, making it convenient for fans heading to the ground, and the Good Beer Guide notes regularly changing local cask and craft beers. A Sheffield Wednesday fan forum also mentions meeting there before a match, indicating itβs used on matchdays. Expect a small micropub that can fill quickly; plan accordingly and check opening times around fixtures.
Great micro pub with well kept locally sourced real Ales, a lovely atmosphere, and a warm welcome from the owners. The minimalist bathroom fittings are also worth a mention!
Nice cosy place to enjoy a drink. Two or three real ales on tap, in good condition. Good range of craft beers. Not always easy to get a seat at peak times, and it can get a bit airless when it's full.
Small and compact, serving great local ale in thr heart of Hillsborough. A little dark inside for my liking but the beer and service were fantastic! Another great addition to the independent end of Hillsborough and an alternative to other bars.
Good music, nice vibe. Quite small but there is outdoor seating and the road isn't busy in the evening.
We love The Beekeeper. It is a micropub in the truest sense. It is very cosy, has a little fireplace, and has a very cute little bar. The small range of beers are always good, and they've got a great little spirit selection (the food rating is for the drinks). It has been a fantastic addition to Hillsborough, and long may it keep pouring! Cheers.
