About this Pub

The Sporting Page

Why it's great for Matchdays

Close to Stamford Bridge, The Sporting Page positions itself as a Chelsea matchday local, explicitly billing itself as a place to drink before and after Chelsea home games. Inside, there are plenty of screens showing live sport with Sky Sports and TNT Sports, so you can catch early kick-offs and post-match highlights. For pre- and post-game pints, the pub offers a rotating selection including cask ales on three handpumps as well as popular keg options, making it a reliable stop for fans heading to or from the stadium.

The Sporting Page, on the corner of Camera Place and Limerston Street is great fun. There are lots of keg beers and ciders to choose from along with Hobgoblin IPA on cask. Friendly, lively service and a very pleasant atmosphere. A quirky pub well worth a visit

Nice little pub, well furnished, well kept beers, a couple of screens showing sport. Really friendly staff and there was no waiting to be served on a busy Chelsea match day. We just stopped for s post match pint. I liked the way the French doors were fully opened so trade could move outside.

Nice spot for a beer or three out on the pavement along with the 'Made in Chelsea' types. Drinks are pricey but the food is very reasonable. Smashburger was very good. The chicken Caesar was dry with virtually no dressing and a cremated strip of bacon. So many pubs round here have closed, good to see this place buzzing.

Stopped in hoping for a decent pint of Guinness, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. When I asked for a good pour, the guy with the glasses hit back with, “I worked 10 years in Dublin, I know how to pour one.” Fair enough, but the pint he served was subpar, which made the arrogance unnecessary and a bit embarrassing. Confidence is fine, but when it crosses into rudeness, especially without backing it up it leaves a bad taste. In hospitality, being right isn’t as important as making the customer feel welcome. A little humility and a better pour wouldn’t go amiss.

I went to the sporting page yesterday, I was only popping in for a drink but the manager persuaded me to have to steak and ale pie with mash and gravy and I have to say it was nothing short of delicious. Highly recommend this place for service, friendliness and amazing food. 5 stars!
