Tucked away in the backstreets behind Stamford Bridge and close to the Chelsea football ground, The Fox & Pheasant is well placed for matchdays. It's explicitly listed in a Chelsea-supporter pub guide as a top Chelsea-friendly spot around the Bridge. The pub serves food with published kitchen hours and a full menu (including Sunday roasts), making it a reliable pre- or post-match option for a sit-down meal. CAMRA notes the pub offers changing cask ales alongside other beers, and the venue's own site confirms easy walking access via Fulham Broadway and West Brompton stations—useful on busy matchdays.
Popped in today, only had a scotch egg (exceptional) and an alcohol free beer. Was expecting it to be stuffy and unwelcoming - but couldn't have been further from that. It really did feel like a proper pub, although I stayed quieter the bar side - I didn't realise it had a conservatory and that was significantly busier. Whilst I only made a brief stop on my way through London, it was welcoming, excellent service and I'll certainly be back - hopefully I'll have more free time for a proper meal next time!
We had such a fantastic dinner at The Fox & Pheasant last night. I went with two friends and we shared several starters — Truffle, mushroom & brie on toast, Scallop ceviche, tiger's milk, apple & candied jalapeño , Caramelised artichoke soup , and Crispy pork belly, and goat's cheese, walnuts. Every single dish was incredible: delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour. For mains we shared the fish & chips, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had in London. The chips were incredible — perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and melty inside. The fish batter was so light and delicate it almost felt like tempura. Absolutely exceptional. Lovely food, cozy atmosphere, great service — we left already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!
Outstanding! We were looking for a Sunday roast in the area and booked it because of the good reviews. It definitely exceeded all our expectations. Each element of the roast was fantastic and flavourful, but we really enjoyed the starters too (scotch egg and mushroom & brie on toast), and the chocolate mousse dessert was a standout. BEST MOUSSE we have ever had. Staff were friendly and polite and the pub decor was lovely too. Can't wait to go back!
We had a Sunday roast for the first time and we are so glad that it was this place. All options were so great but the special with lamb and with pork were absolutely amazing. Staff was also very helpful and kind. Desserts were also very delicious, and the chocolate mousse experience definitely the best!
Had a wonderful time at this pub — the food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and lively. Everything felt authentically local yet so welcoming. A big thanks to Callum for his kindness and great service — he really made our evening special. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to!
