📍 0.8 miles from MATRADE Loftus Road
Handy for matchdays thanks to its walkable transport links: Ravenscourt Park Underground is about 0.31 miles away and Goldhawk Road about 0.44 miles, making it an easy pre- or post-game stop when travelling across West London. The pub serves food at lunch and in the evenings, including Sundays, so you can plan a proper meal around kick-off. It’s also a real-ale venue with well-kept beers—regulars include Fuller's London Pride and Timothy Taylor Landlord, with rotating guests such as Butcombe Original, Otter Bitter and St Austell Tribute—useful for fans looking for quality pints before heading on.
We went to The Anglesea Arms for a Sunday roast – our very first one during our holiday in London and Liverpool – and it was an amazing experience. The restaurant has a great vibe, really cozy and welcoming, and you can even bring your dog which is a big plus. The service was fantastic, super friendly and attentive, and the food was even better. The roast was delicious, perfectly cooked with generous portions, and the Yorkshire pudding was spot on. Overall, a wonderful place with great atmosphere, excellent staff, and absolutely tasty food – highly recommended.
Best pub roast in London! We chose this pub for a Sunday Roast before a show in Hammersmith and it's ended up ranked our favourite roast this season. The pub is small and busy making for a buzzy atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food came out quickly. We ordered the belly pork roast and roast beef. The beef was pink and tender, the pork was amazing - crispy crackling, soft meat, couldn't have asked for more. The veg was flavourful and overall perfect with a glass of wine. Would definitely come back when in the area.
The food has always been great here, and it's been here for a long time. On this visit, we had 4 starters between the 2 of us, and it was absolutely superb: tasted amazing and everything was beautifully presented. The team were also lovely and brilliantly attentive.
The Anglesea Arms, on the corner of Wellesley Avenue and Wingate Road in Hammersmithish is a lovely pub with chatty effervescent staff to enjoy a conversation with ( while they still work and take my money! Multitasking at its best). A chameleon pub with a drinking area to the front, a dining area and art gallery to the rear. Bare bricks for the diners and Art Deco wood panelling on the walls for the drinkers. A small range of keg beers and ciders along with Tribute from the cask. Loved my visit.
What a fabulous Sunday lunch. T looked after us so well. With so many delicious options on the menu, her suggestions were spot on. The rump of beef was spot on with just the right amount of fat. The carrots were sweet, the roasties crisp on the outside and buttery inside. The horseradish was grainy yet smooth and had just the perfect amount of bite. For dessert the sticky toffee pudding was the rice consistency and sweetness and paired perfectly with the ginger ice-cream. All in all a lovely Sunday afternoon.
