Loved the interior and seating area, really comfortable. There’s a good selection of alcoholic drinks, but the cocktails were disappointing. Our Porn Star Martini arrived without the prosecco shot, and when we asked for it, the staff acted as if it were an unusual request and refused to provide! Their attitude wasn’t particularly pleasant, which took away from the experience. Overall, the quality of the cocktails felt poor for the price.

Ordered an avocado toast for 11 quids. The avocado toast is 3 slices of cold white bread with supermarket-bought guacamole on top (the one ready-made that comes in a tube). I'd happily pay 6 pounds for that, tops. At least the service/atmosphere is nice.

Really helpful staff. Phoned kitchen to check good was available as showing out if stock on system. Quiet when we were there but I get there would be good vibe when busy. Good selection of ales. I had the Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica. Welsh micro brewing company available in the big smoke

I’ve been coming to this pub for a couple of years and have generally enjoyed it. The atmosphere is usually good and most of the staff are friendly and welcoming. However, my most recent visit was disappointing. The kitchen is normally advertised as closing at 8:30pm, and the pub’s website currently states 8pm. At 7:50pm I tried to order food at the bar and was told by the manager (wearing a cap) that the kitchen actually closes at 7:45pm in January. This was frustrating, especially as there was no clear notice of this anywhere. After being unable to order food, I stayed for drinks and bought a packet of peanuts. I then briefly left to grab a sandwich elsewhere and returned to finish my drink, only to be told quite abruptly by the manager that I was not allowed to eat my sandwich in the pub. This was particularly disappointing given that I had tried to order food there in the first place. I felt the manager’s attitude was unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming, which really took away from the experience. Other staff members were great, but his manner made me feel like customers were more of an inconvenience than a priority. If the kitchen is closing earlier in January, that’s understandable but the website and in-house information should clearly reflect this to avoid confusion and disappointment. Better communication and a friendlier approach would make a big difference.
