A practical matchday spot in Fulham: the pub actively advertises match screenings (e.g., every Six Nations game on five screens) and has TVs that have shown live football scores. That means you can reliably catch televised fixtures. It serves substantial food (Indian dishes plus wood-fired pizzas), so pre- and post-match meals are covered. Located at 197 Lillie Road, it’s walkable from West Brompton (~0.6 miles), making it handy for fans heading to or from the area on game days or staying nearby for TV games.
What a find! This place is more than just your standard pub food, and is so tasty! The chicken tikka burger was juicy and flavourful and had a good bit of crunch from the veggies (sorry for the picture where I took a bite out of it, just couldn't wait) plus the chutney was a perfect added bit of sweetness. The place itself has a cool Indian-inspired flair in its decor, is kept impeccably clean, and the staff are warm, friendly, and inviting. Special shoutout to Flevin for his excellent service! Kid friendly, equipped with huge projectors for watching sports, pub quizzes on Thursdays, and a large garden to sit in on a sunny day. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in the area!
We visited Elephant & Barrel last Saturday (06.12.2025) with friends Sankar, Lingesh, and Mr. S. K. P. Karuna — an entrepreneur and author from Tamil Nadu. From the moment we arrived, partner Gobi welcomed us with a warm and friendly smile. The restaurant has a cosy ambience with comfortable seating, and every dish is prepared fresh and served piping hot. The quality and flavours were outstanding. We tried Onion Bhaji, Okra Fry, Chicken Fry, and Calamari Bhaji — all cooked in authentic South Indian style. We also enjoyed their Italian-quality pizza, which was absolutely delicious. Every item tasted just the way we hoped! The menu offers a great variety of Indian and Italian dishes, making it a perfect place for family gatherings, friendly meetups, or a relaxed dining experience. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming and satisfying from the moment you step in. One of the restaurant’s most unique highlights is the impressive life-size elephant statue placed outdoors. Specially brought from India and assembled on-site, it looks astonishingly real — with a moving trunk, water spray feature, and expressive eyes. Both children and adults love taking photos with it, and it perfectly complements the restaurant’s theme. The owners deserve big appreciation for such creativity and vision. Overall, Elephant & Barrel offers a fantastic dining experience with great food, warm service, and a truly unique setting. SPECIAL THANKS TO CHEF GOPI🫶🏽💐 Highly recommended — do visit and enjoy! 🐘🍽️✨
Really cool. Was served by Saffron she was amazing. Managed to advise us to our tastes. I had the fish and chips which was filling.. the coolest part was the bill came in a treasure chest! Ambiance is nice. Really cool Aesthetics.
Great overall, the curry sauce could be thicker. We had a lovely time though & the staff were great.
We couldn’t have chosen a better place for our gender reveal! The food was absolutely delicious, everyone kept talking about how good it was. The staff were amazing from start to finish, friendly, attentive, and so helpful in making sure everything went smoothly. They really helped make our special day feel even more memorable. Highly recommend for both the food and the outstanding service!
