The Cock Tavern is a short walk from Stamford Bridge and is regularly highlighted as a Chelsea supporters’ pre-match pub, creating a home-fan atmosphere on matchdays. The venue promotes live football (e.g., Lionesses fixtures) and other live sport, and listings sites carry a dedicated live-sport schedule for the pub. Multiple screens are advertised for big events, making it a reliable place to catch the action before or after heading to the ground. With a full kitchen and clearly advertised food service hours, it also works for pre-game meals or post-match bites. Proximity, live sport focus, and its popularity with Blues fans make it a strong home-crowd option on matchdays.
Came here for my wife's birthday meal! The food is pretty nice and portions are okay but the real stars of this place are the staff by miles! Everyone of them are absolutely phenomenal! Extremely polite and attentive! I will 100% come back they are all super welcoming I absolutely loved it!
Had a lovely time here last night. It’s all decked out for Xmas. Yummy food but not cheap. (One of us is vegan and one isn’t. Both found something delicious.) 🍔 The burgers were pricey and due to that we expected a little more. Even some more chips would have helped for the price. However can’t fault the taste of both the beef and vegan burger. 🍨 The vegan brownie and ice cream was also a nice touch. Both vegan and non enjoyed!! Again the helping was small for £7!! 🎄 Festive cocktails were lovely. For whiskey lovers highly recommend the maple old fashioned 🥃
🚇 Fulham Broadway 🍺 £6.70 Pravha The Cock Tavern is located at the bottom of North End Road in Fulham, close to Chelsea’s ground, Stamford Bridge. The nearest Tube is Fulham Broadway. First licensed in 1713 and rebuilt in 1813, it was originally known as The Cock and was leased to Meux’s Brewery, one of London’s largest breweries at the time. The building you see today dates from 1895 and was remodelled in 1931, and it has since received Grade II listed status. It was known as The Cock & Hen for a time, it was renamed the Cock Tavern in 2014. This is a traditionally decorated, one-bar pub with some contemporary touches. The servery runs along the left-hand side, while the interior features raised seating areas near the entrance, booths in the centre, and another raised section at the back. To the rear is a covered, heated beer garden with a large TV. The decor includes boarded floors, a mix of comfortable seating, neo-Georgian wall panels, a carved wood fireplace, and some contemporary backlit artwork. There are also TVs dotted around for live sport. The beer selection offers a line-up of well-known brands, including three cask ales. I opted for a Pravha; my pint was great, price point was above average. The food menu features pub classics—fish and chips cost £18, and roasts are available on Sundays. I arrived just before 7 pm on a rainy Wednesday evening in February. There were around a dozen punters enjoying an early evening drink. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, with a chilled soundtrack playing in the background. Service was excellent; the team member who served me was welcoming, friendly, and courteous. The pub shows live Premier League matches and hosts a weekly quiz. This is a stylish pub that blends old and new very well. My pint was great, the service was on point, and the atmosphere made for a very easygoing visit. It gets busy when Chelsea are at home, but make sure you check it out if you’re in the area. 📅 11th February 2026
Originally we booked a table for 8 for dinner and was put on a single small table with 8 seats around it which wasn't the best start. The staff were extremely lovely, our waiter was brilliant, very attentive and helpful when we asked for our table to be changed, he was kind, happy and very engaging with all of us (including the kids). The food was very average quality, the burgers were very small and the meats taste/texture was very cheap. The puddings very similar story, you could taste the pre packaged deserts had been heated and served. The toilets weren't great with broken toilet seats and no soap. The best part about this place is 100% the staff. They made our evening better.
Came in on a monday for a quick, decent lunch (vegan gnocchi) and was so impressed I booked a table for dinner and the pub quiz. Tom and Fran were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.
