Booked to try the Thai Menu. Didn't use the hotel facility. Not disappointed! Authentic dishes cooked to suit a western palate, with the option to spice up. 4 of us ate, and we shared starters which were served on a board. Squid, corn fritters, satay chicken, sesame prawn toast and duck rolls. We could have just continued eating these all night they were that good. For mains we had massaman beef curry, chicken massaman, lamb panang. All of which were the best Thai food we have eaten outside of Thailand. The chef prepped some additional chopped chillies for the table which allowed us to spice up to our taste. Highly recommended. We will be going back.

Stayed here for work. Went in the pub and it was great. Staff in the pub were lovely. Good IPA and a good price. Really busy with lots of friendly customers. Unfortunately the room we stayed in wasn’t great. It was a twin room and the beds were uncomfortable. Shower was a bit of a dribble. Nice touch to give you a little in room breakfast selection.

A great little country pub just out of the city and away from the bustle of Oxford.|Room was cosy, warm and clean.|We were close to the bar back entrance door so can be a bit noisy but we were tired travelers and crashed anyway. Once the punters left it was quiet and peaceful. |Wonderful host and very helpful with a list of things to see and do.|There was some items left in our room for a continental brekky which suited us as did not need a cooked menu.|Excellent Thai style restuarant available for evening dining. There is not much to do in this town which makes it perfect for a quiet break. Its a pleasant walking village with Roe deer in the churcyard and I believe somewhere a small brewery, but I never found that which is highly unusual!!!!

Only rated 4 as haven't tried the food. The location and venue are lovely, the rooms are clean and well furnished. The staff are delightful, so helpful and chatty. Thoroughly recommend as a relaxed weekend stay.

We recently stayed at this lovely pub hotel and couldn’t have been happier with our visit. The highlight was the excellent Thai food – our evening meal was delicious, and the chef was even kind enough to share his homemade chilli jam recipe with us! We booked a family room for my wife, our daughter, and me, and it was perfect. The room was clean, spacious, well laid out, and could comfortably accommodate four people with a double bed and two singles. One of the singles was on an upper level, giving our 21-year-old daughter a bit of privacy, which she really appreciated. It was also great value compared to bigger hotel chains – we only needed one family room instead of having to book a separate double and single, which saved us money compared to somewhere like Premier Inn. What really made our stay special, though, was the team. The staff were welcoming and extremely friendly throughout our stay. The young lady who served us in the evening was exceptionally courteous, attentive and cheerful, and really made us feel at home. All in all, a wonderful experience – If we are ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be back!
