Genuine and authentic English pub experience for some tourists from Canada. Very tidy with a lovely outdoor patio and garden. Friendly staff and clientele who were welcoming and courteous. It’s easy to see why it’s received so many accolades.
What a gem of a pub, friendly locals , amazing range of beer , warm comfortable and great banter Not often you stumble across what I’d call a proper English boozer these days and this place is just that, how refreshing Beers kept to the highest quality, was the best place to unwind after a long day working away from home xx

One of the best pubs for miles around. A nice quiet hidden gem. Proper trappist & Belgian beers, real ales, an unbeatable cosy home from home. Landlord Chris is a great bloke. Cheers!
Proper old school boozer on the outskirts of Oxford. Good luck finding it, it's a local pub for locals only. Straight out of the 80s (never updated - and why would it be), its a throwback that reminds a little of a student union bar - but much cleaner of course. A fair selection of ales (tiny tasters requests are not met with much enthusiasm but reluctantly minimally granted), but a quite poor selection of lagers. Has a sports screen in both parts so can catch the football, if it's on the right channels - they have SKY SPORTS for sure.
