I have nothing but great things to say about this pub. I heard it was the best in Oxford for roasts so I headed down. It’s only on Sundays they told me, but all was not lost! I instead had an incredible Sirloin and have no doubt their roasts turn heads. Maybe the stars will align and I’ll be back this way to try. They serve an incredible pint of London pride, the staff are very friendly and I’ve not wanted to go anywhere else during my visit to Oxford. The pub is beautiful inside. Natural wood floors, candle lit tables, modern decor/colours and a spacious beer garden. It’s a great vibe here. Thank you for your hospitality! Thanks to Gilda for the great service.

Trying out roasts in Oxford, did not disappoint. All of the components of the roasts were great, big portions, and the gravy was thick and delicious. I wish the beef was pinker. Super cute decor met with amazing service. Can't wait to go back there again.

What a gorgeous pub the Marsh Harrier is! A country pub feel in the middle of the houses! Lively but not loud, bright, friendly warm. Good food, well priced and excellent range of drinks including a selection for the driver. Family run by a family who show that they love the hospitality industry, and their excellent staff have clearly bought into the ethos too as everyone is so welcoming and helpful without any overpowering nor pressure to buy more. Recommended for drinks or meals

This is one of our favourite places for Sunday roast. Easy to book a dog friendly table, food served quickly and it's delicious. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Pub has seal of approval from our greyhound Maple, she always tries to go back in after we leave perhaps thinking why we are leaving a place with delicious meat? 😅😋

Have passed many times wondering about the claim of being the “best British roast” and now I have been - I think it’s a fair claim! Busy as expected on a Sunday but they managed to squeeze us in without a booking. Lovely service from all of the staff. Went for the lamb roast and it was absolutely delicious, each bite was packed full of flavour. Generous portions, I couldn’t finish it all. (The photo doesn’t do it justice as there was even more lamb under the Yorkshire pudding) the tiniest criticism I have was that the cabbage lacked in flavour, but honestly this is as close to perfect as you could get for a roast. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!
