The City Arms has always been a bit of a nostalgic spot for me since I used to spend so many Sunday nights here during uni, but it’s still just as good coming back now. It has a proper relaxed pub atmosphere that feels welcoming the second you walk in, and it’s the kind of place where you can easily lose a few hours catching up with friends. Drinks are reasonably priced, the staff are always friendly, and there’s just a really comfortable vibe to the whole place. Definitely one of those Oxford pubs that keeps its charm over the years. Had the bottomless brunch at 1pm on a Saturday. Was great service and had our fill of drinks in the 2 hour window. The server man was very attentive and even gave us the option of having a bottle of fizz to end the experience! Live in Reading but will 100% come back to the city arms for another. The price and quality was brilliant Live music aswell if you go on a Saturday! Happy bonus
Ordered through the app a coke and fries.... Waited for 30 minutes no one else here...went to counter no one staff were sat with woman at a table... I waited a couple minutes minutes he eventually came... Told him that was still waiting for my order. He then ripped the ticket off the machine got my coke then started to walk back to the women... I then had to ask for my chips. He then went back to the food lift found my chips that have obviously been there a while as they are dried out and tepid.... Just really poor service
