Didnt rate food as didnt eat but sausage rolls on counter looked great. Nice staff great location that feels like a time warp. Right ontop of the market woth motorcycle parking behind it. Really nice historical building with a great view of market and castle.
We had such a wonderful experience at this wine pub. The atmosphere was cozy, relaxed, and welcoming — the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable and want to stay awhile. The wine selection was excellent, with something for every taste, and the staff were knowledgeable and happy to offer recommendations. The food paired perfectly with the wine and was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual drink or planning a long, leisurely evening with friends, this place is ideal. What really stood out was the service — friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure everyone has a great time. It’s a gem of a spot and one we will definitely be coming back to. Highly recommended for wine lovers and anyone looking for a relaxed, classy night out
Despite living in the area now for a while, we had never been to this pub. Last night, we decided to change that. The service was top notch. The drinks were good. The atmosphere was lovely. Lots of nooks and crannys to find tables - there are hidden floors to be found 😁 They do have QR codes on the tables if you want to order pizza from the pizzeria next door.
Go to this pub fairly regularly but after last night I shan’t bother again. Left my pint on the bar whilst I went to the toilet only to return and find it gone. The staff couldn’t have cared less saying that it might have been thrown away and then completely ignored me! Dreadful service!
Great place to have a pint and people watch. Great selection of beers and even has its own shop. Didn’t order any food, but Brick is next door and you can eat that on the benches, lovely.
