We had a brilliant time at The Minories. Ordering was incredibly easy via the app/website directly from our table, and the payment process was seamless. Our drinks arrived almost instantly, and the food followed shortly after. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We loved the atmosphere – it’s a perfect match of a traditional pub and a sports bar. Even though there were screens showing sports, we sat in a more central spot and really enjoyed the vibe. We tried several different beers (great selection!) and went for the traditional Fish & Chips and a burger – both were delicious. For such a central London location, the prices are unbeatable. We’ll definitely be back!
The location of this place is superb right by the Tower of London which is great for tourists and the pub itself had a very London feel which the vibrations of the trains above being heard throughout the restaurant. The service was relatively quick and the food was good. The place seems to be more of a tourist group spot rather than anything so I would recommend booking ahead of time as there seemed to be a lot of bookings prior. I had the bbq cheeseburger which was delicious and it filled a spot perfectly. The food came quite quickly as well which was great. I would recommend this place as it had a very London pub feel which was nice to see. They also had a charging point where you could rent out a battery pack for a few hours which came in handy so this was a ver nice touch.
Hidden under a railway bridge – not exactly where you’d expect to end up, but definitely worth it. Proper pub atmosphere, not one of those polished Instagram places. Brick vault ceiling, a bit rough around the edges, but that’s exactly the charm. It actually feels like a place people go to, not one that was designed for photos. Fish and chips were spot on – simple, but done right. The chocolate cake… let’s just say it stayed on my mind for a couple of days longer than it should have. Service was relaxed, no rush, which fits the whole place. If you’re looking for something authentic instead of fancy, this is your place.
I ate a kilo of delicious wings here for £20! Cocktails were good and they do a decent Guinness too! Really nice staff as well.
Found this place from cask marque so thought I’d get a decent pile of ale. I was wrong. The barman couldn’t pull a pint to save his life! But managed to drag a murky pint from the bottom of the barrel. He could tell I wasn’t happy but didn’t take any notice. I had a couple of sips and couldn’t stomach it. Timothy Taylor’s landlord shouldn’t take 8 minute to settle.
