Why it's great for Matchdays
A solid pre- or post-match option: The Highfield shows live football with Sky Sports, TNT Sports and even Amazon fixtures, and lets you book specific games, so you’re guaranteed a seat with a view of the big TVs. They run Greene King Sport app offers (10% off selected drinks around televised fixtures and a free drink for new app users), and serve hot food to your table during matches. Practicalities are good for matchdays too: it opens from 7:00am with food served until 9:00pm, and there’s an on-site car park. All of this makes it easy to meet up, watch the early or late kick-off, and grab a meal before heading on.

Great location, and the rooms are comfortable. Customer service from the lad in reception was fantastic, especially as we’d checked in late. I will stay here again when I return.
The hotel itself is very adequate considering it is a pub chain(Green King).I was impressed by the size of the room as well as the bathroom with bath tub and availability of food and drink( from the pub part) Food from the pub was fine although two choices were not available when I visited. Downsides for me was definitely the bed- I have a lower bad problem as this over soft mattress absolutely killed my back when I woke up. The lady serving the breakfast is s little grumpy She said I needed to hurry up as they were stopping breakfast .Not what you want to hear after having not a great night's rest!!
Had some sticky toffee puddings, they were above average. Tasty and good treacle. Nathan, santino, Kyle, and Courtney were great.
Large pub with hotel rooms. Room nicely refurbished and lovely and clean. On-site pub food was good value. Loads of parking. No lift which is a shame when you have heavy luggage.
Excellent pub night Amazing sticky toffee puddings. Great service by Nathan and Kyle! Would recommend to anyone in the area
