The official site describes it as a two-room club with a capacity of 500+ and regular DJ-led nights, and lists weekend opening through to around 3am—handy for post-match celebrations in the town centre rather than watching the game itself. DesignMyNight also shows long hours and central location. If you want a lively, dance-focused stop before heading home after a Boro match, this fits the bill.

Flares & Popworld is amazing. The DJ is really good, the bouncers are very friendly and handle situations in a well manner. All of the Bar staff are great, Caela served me all night and was amazing! Definitely recommend.
I have come to put my review back to what it originally said; I came to the bar after a lovely time in two other bars in Middlesbrough. A group of 7 ladies aged from 29-55 years. I went out for a cigarette and was refused access back, I was not rude nor was there any argument, when I spoke to the cloak person they were also bemused. The bouncers were obnoxious and cruel talking down to me an stating I was ‘too much’. As I had to wait for my friends due to being in Middlesbrough which is away from my home town. While booking a taxi with a friends who was being helped by a staff member not the bouncers to book a taxi. I tried to tell the bouncer that there was another customer in the corner of the smoking area(on their property) that needed medical assistance; instead of listening to me he continued to talk down to me an be obnoxious; when he finally listened; he then said it was my fault he can’t see the person needing assistance. I didn’t raise my voice nor did I cause a scene, I was calm and bewildered by this young obnoxious and not at all caring human. I will screenshot this so that you can not edit is again. Flares is a great night out for a student night! Caela is very friendly and has helped me find lost property, she always has a smile on her face! Definitely recommend
Phil is really a best manager. Decent atmosphere inside and good customer service , I would really recommend for night out.
