📍 1.0 miles from Pride Park Stadium

About this Pub

The Smithfield
Handy for matchday meet-ups: the pub is about a 10-minute walk from Derby railway station and bus station, so it works well for fans arriving by train or coach. Away supporters on fan forums also mention using it pre-match, with an estimated 30-minute walk from there to the away end at Pride Park. As an award-winning alehouse, it regularly serves Draught Bass and a rotating range from modern breweries, giving travelling fans plenty of choice for a pre-game pint. There’s also a large riverside terrace that helps groups spread out before setting off to the ground.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the finest pubs in Derby, with an excellent range of proper beers, all well kept and well served. The staff are customer focused, efficient, and friendly. A good place to stop before the match 🐏🐏🐏, or to tick off some of the county’s better beers. Food is a little limited, but you go for the beer. It is not a restaurant.

Every time I visit Derby I make a pilgrimage to this pub. Great locally sourced pies, lovely selection of local beers / ales / craft. Proper old school pub. Been here once when there was live music which was great too.

Great friendly staff, table service, takeaway ale's, outdoor heated seating area overlooking the river Derwent. The sun sets over the river and through the bridge. Great selection of ales and ciders. If i could put this place in my pocket id take it everywhere with me A*****

Great music venue, lovely outset size overlooking the river Derwent. Lovely crowd for the Sunday afternoon band & friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely be back in future! Afternoon gigs particularly fit around my schedule so that was great to see! Thank you!
