About this Pub

The Flowerpot
In the Cathedral Quarter city centre, The Flowerpot is an easy pre- or post-match meetup spot. CAMRA lists it as close to bus routes (Five Lamps stop; Trent Barton Sixes/Allestree), helping fans get around on matchdays. It opens from midday on Fridays and Saturdays, useful for lunchtime kick-offs, and carries a large real-ale choice—Visit Derby notes at least fourteen real ales every weekend, while CAMRA shows a rotating line-up. For midweek fixtures, their Gurkha curry nights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (6–9pm) provide a quick pre-match meal on site.

Great pub, great beer, friendly staff. Serve traditional pub snacks, think pork pie etc but also have Napalese curry served on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. (You can also order this to take away) I was up for a work thing and stopped at the Leonardo Hotel. This little gem is just across the road. And a short walk into the town centre

Love this place!! Have been multiple times to see The Smyths....the venue is spot on. The gig room is not too big and has a low ceiling, creating a great atmosphere and sound. Easy to get served and also to walk in to the main pub to get served. One of the best small venues Ive been to. 👍

Nice pub, great service at the bar. We got there late and wanted to see the last 30 mins of the band. To be told it would cost £18 was a joke. Nobody else went in afterwards. Wouldn’t it be better for a couple of punters to go in, buy a few pints and embrace the music. Nice middle aged pub though

Great welcoming proper pub! Good selection of ales as well. Visited before a boxing match and revisited after. It was so busy after as they had a live band on. Bet it was a great do.

Went to see ACDC UK there it was a really good night, very very busy but set up well and the bar staff were all over it. Well organised, right next to a very secure car park which is 1.40 for the night parking, no dodgy smells or rubbish in the stairs n lifts. Very rare cheap night out for a change ! Would recommend. I didnt stay the night so haven't rated for rooms
